Biography[]
Call of Duty 4 and Modern Warfare 2[]
Dylan "Theory" McGee started his video game venture in Halo 2, and began to attend local LAN events for Halo 3. However, several friends turned him on to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Gamebattles. Here, he teamed with Complex to become one of the top hardcore teams on the ladders. He was hooked almost instantly and has made quite the name for himself in our community by placing in the top 8 in all 3 of the MLG ladders for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
Black Ops and Modern Warfare 3[]
Theory was able to bring that success into the 2011 MLG season for Call of Duty: Black Ops, placing in the top 20 every single event. He would continue to succeed and improve as MLG enter the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 season.. He would place in the top 8 at three UMG events, and would continue to grow into the Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 season.
Black Ops 2[]
Here Theory would catch his big break. He began the season by placing 3rd with Mullet nation at UMG St. Louis and 8th with vVv Gaming at the MLG Spring Championship. Afterwards, he would join Sharp, Neslo, and Goonjar on a newly formed Team Kaliber. This roster would become one of the top teams on the scene, finishing in the top 4 of every event they would attend for the rest of the season. However, the team would always fall just short of a first place finish, but Theory would still cement his name as one of the top players in the game.
Ghosts[]
Theory would stay on the Team Kaliber roster for the beginning of the Call of Duty: Ghosts season. The team would place 2nd at the MLG Fall Championship, however Goonjar would leave to join team Team EnVyUs, and the team would pick up Clayster for UMG Atlanta. Here the team would place 2nd once again to Evil Geniuses. Afterwards, Neslo would leave, and the team would pick up both Goonjar and Formal. The team would then attend the Call of Duty Championship 2014, where they would dominate in group play, but play poorly in bracket, finishing with a disappointing T16 finish. From here, Theory would decide to leave the team and joined FaZe on the Faze Red roster along with JKap, Replays, and Classic. The team would place 9th at UGC Niagara, and would be invited to attend the MLG X Games Invitational. Once again, Faze Red would have a disappointing finish with a 7th/8th placement. However, the team performed well enough to qualify for the Champs Bracket at MLG Anaheim. However, after defeating TCM Gaming in the first round, Faze Red would drop 2 games to be eliminated from the tournament with a 9th/10th/11th pace finish. Shortly afterwards, FaZe Clan would announce they were releasing the Faze Red team, and returning to just one team. Shortly afterwards, Theory would announce that he was rejoining Team Kaliber, bringing back the original roster of himself, Sharp, Goonjar, and Neslo for the Call of Duty: Ghosts MLG Season 3.
Advanced Warfare[]
Theory would continue to team with Team Kaliber to start the AW season. They would earn a respectable 4th place finish at MLG Columbus, and a respectable, but disappointing, 7/8th place finish at UMG Orlando. They also qualified for the MLG AW Pro League Season 1 playoffs.
Black Ops 3[]
Theory stayed with Team Kaliber for a disappointing Black Ops 3 season. The team was able to qualify for Stage 1 of the Pro League, but lackluster league play tK was sent to relegation. Following an unlucky situation involving Goonjar not being able to enter the United States from Canada, tK was forced to use MBoZe as a substitute. They would not qualify for Stage 2 ultimately marking the end of the original tK roster. Theory then picked up a team of up and coming players CaLiFa, Xotic, and Holler for the upcoming MLG Anaheim Open 2016, they would place top 48 and the team would all be dropped. Theory would then join Team SoloMid for Stage 2, after placing 11th in the regular season, Theory would re-join Team Kaliber for the foreseeable future. Theory was picked up with an all new roster of Goonjar, Happy, and ColeChan for CoD Champs 2016 and they placed Top 12 at the biggest tournament of the year.
Infinite Warfare[]
Theory was in for another disappointing season, at CWL Vegas 2017 he placed Top 16 with tK. This team went the rest of the season managing onlt a Top 20 at CWL Atlanta 2017 and a top 24 at CWL Dallas 2017. The next tournament would feature a new roster with ColeChan being replaced by Accuracy, the team managed to place Top 12 at CWL Anaheim 2017 which sparked interest in how they might place at the upcoming 2017 Call of Duty World League Championship. However, despite close games against the likes of Ghost Gaming and Splyce, Team Kaliber placed dead last at Top 32.
World War 2[]
Coming into World War 2, Theory was trying to redeem himself for a unfavourable past few years of Call of Duty. He decided to continue to team with Accuracy but recurited Chino and Kenny. With some very good performances in the online tournaments coming into the first tournament, Theory's new roster was turning some heads. They would go into the first event, CWL Dallas 2018, and completely steamroll their competition without dropping a series. With a win in the books Theory was back on top of the scene, although fans were still skeptical about the roster. Going into the next event of CWL New Orleans 2018 Theory and Co. would make lightning strike twice and take the competition with only losing one series to Luminosity Gaming.
