LA Thieves 2021 Roster.jpg

Los Angeles Thieves is one of the two official Call of Duty League franchise teams of Los Angeles, United States. It is owned and operated by 100 Thieves. They joined the league in November 2020 following the acquisition of the OpTic Gaming Los Angeles slot. The team is the successor to 100 Thieves, which had competed in Call of Duty in the 2016 and 2019 seasons.

History[edit]

Black Ops Cold War[edit]

Nadeshot and 100 Thieves announced their return to Call of Duty esports with the acquisition of the OpTic Gaming Los Angeles Call of Duty League slot along with the four remaining players on their roster - SlasheR, Kenny (who reverted his name change), TJHaLy, and Drazah. Muddawg rejoined the team as general manager, a position he held in the 2019 season. JKap joined as head coach on December 10. A day later, after playing with the team since the game's release, Temp was finally announced as the fourth.

The Thieves began Stage 1 with a 4-0 record before facing off against Dallas, who was also 4-0, in the final match of the stage. They lost 3-0 but still started the Major in Winners. A 3-0 loss to the Guerrillas sent them into Losers where they beat Toronto before losing to OpTic Chicago to finish Top 6. Stage 2 started with a 3-2 win against Toronto and then a 2-3 loss against New York. The team decided a change was needed and Temp was moved to the bench and replaced by Challengers player Venom. They finished the Stage by losing the remained of their matches to finish with a 1-4 record. Going into the Major, SlasheR was surprisingly moved to the bench to make room for Drazah in the lineup. The Thieves would start in Losers Round 1 with no competitive matches played as the current four-man roster. They beat Paris, London, and New York before running out of gas against Toronto in Losers Round 4. The Top 6 finish helped the make up for CDL Points lost during the group stage.
