Los Angeles Guerrillas is one of the two official Call of Duty League franchise teams of Los Angeles, United States. It is owned and operated by Kroenke Sports & Entertainment.

Modern Warfare[edit]

The Kroenke Los Angeles team was announced on August 20, 2019. Two months later, on October 18, 2019, the team branding was revealed as the Los Angeles Guerrillas. ACHES was announced as their first player and team captain on October 25. On October 31, AquA joined as the second player and Decemate joined on the next day. The initial coaching staff was announced on November 7 with Bevils joins as head coach, Ricky joining as assistant coach, and Doug Liebe joining as analyst. Blazt joined as the team's first substitute on December 12. Ricky was listed as a substitute on the Call of Duty League website on January 13, 2020.

The Guerrillas entered Launch Weekend as one of the lowest rated teams. In their first match against home team Minnesota RØKKR, the Guerrillas were about to go up 2-0 in the series when they were forfeited map 2 for using an illegal perk. Minnesota flipped the momentum and won the series 3-1. The team was able to regroup and beat Florida Mutineers in their second match. Week 2 did not fair any better as they were double first rounded in Group A and eliminated in last place. Going into the Los Angeles Home Series, the Guerrillas overhauled their roster by adding Spart and Vivid from Challengers and Blazt from the bench to replace ACHES, Saints, and Lacefield. Saints supposedly benched himself after the team's poor start. It seemed like the change would prove immediate dividends as they went up 2-0 against city rivals OpTic Gaming Los Angeles, but they were then reverse swept and then lost 3-0 to Seattle Surge to get bounced from the tournament on six straight maps losses. After an extended break due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, the Guerrillas returned in Week 5 but were quickly knocked out by Dallas Empire and Florida Mutineers.

In Week 6 against Seattle Surge, they lost again. After beating OpTic Gaming Los Angeles in the elimination match, the Guerrillas lost yet again to Seattle Surge, making Seattle's only four wins against the Guerrillas. Week 8 would give the Guerrillas another match-up against the Surge, this time in the elimination match of Seattle's Home Series. For the first time this season, the Guerrillas defeated the Surge but then lost to the Subliners in the qualifier match. Saints rejoined the starters in place of Spart leading up to to Week 9, and with all fans expecting another 0-2 weekend, they showed up big time. LA beat Toronto before losing to Florida. Then they did something for the first time all season. The Guerrillas defeated Chicago and advanced out of the group stage. They then lost 2-3 to Atlanta FaZe in an incredibly close series where they could have easily gone to the final if a few unlucky S&D rounds went their way. In Week 11, the Guerrillas looked like their old selves again, and not in a good way. They went 1-6 in map count after losing to Atlanta FaZe and Paris Legion and finished last. Week 12 was the team's final home series of the year. They went 1-6 again to New York and Paris to finish the regular season in 12th place with 50 CDL Points.

The Guerrillas started in Losers Round 1 at the Call of Duty League Championship 2020 and were defeated 3-2 by rivals OpTic Gaming LA. The two maps won by LAG were 4v5s due to Kuavo disconnecting from the server. They finished the tournament Top 12, last place.

Black Ops Cold War[edit]

The Guerrillas started the off season by releasing AquA, Blazt, Decemate, Saints, Lacefield and Spart on September 7, leaving Vivid as the only remaining player. 2018 World Championship winning trio of Assault, SiLLY, and Apathy joined Vivid on the starting lineup on October 12. Meanwhile, Cheen and Gears of War legend MentaL joined as subs and also joined the newly formed LAG Academy with Exceed and Nero.

LA managed a a third place finish in Group B of Stage 1 with a 2-3 record and earned a Winners Bracket seed at the Major. They took down cross-city rivals LA Thieves 3-0 before falling to eventual champions Atlanta FaZe and then to a red hot New York Subliners to finish Top 6. Stage 2 started slowly as the Guerrillas lost their first three matches, but the team got revenge against Atlanta and gave them their first loss all season. Another victory against the Thieves gave the team confidence going into the second Major, but they did not show up in their Losers Round 1 match against Florida Mutineers and lost 0-3 to finish last place.

Despite being the standout player for the Guerrillas, Vivid was benched in favor of Cheen on April 22 due to chemistry issues within the team. LAG won their first series of Stage 3 3-0 against Paris Legion but lost every other series. Starting in Losers Round 1 at the Stage 3 Major, Los Angeles beat Seattle Surge 3-1 and then lost in the next round to OpTic Chicago to finish Top 10. Vivid was transferred to Dallas Empire on May 22, right before the beginning of Stage 4. In the stage, the Guerrillas beat last place finishers Paris Legion to finish fifth in Group A. They made it out of Losers Round 1 with a 3-1 win against Seattle Surge and then lost to OpTic Chicago 1-3 in the next round to finish Top 10.
