Tomas "GunShy" Jones is a retired Call of Duty esports player, previously a player for Millenium.

Biography

GunShy was one of the longest serving players in the European competitive scene and until recently was the most achieved in Europe. He has represented both Europe and the United Kingdom at multiple international events including his highest cash win with his second place finish at Call of Duty XP. He was professional Call of Duty player who mainly resided in the United Kingdom, but for the last few months of his career resided in the United States. It was announced on May 8, 2015, that GunShy will be retiring from his 8-year long professional Call of Duty career with Gfinity Spring Masters 1 being his last event. It was announced on May 12, 2015, that MadCat will be his replacement on TCM Gaming. After being retired for over two years, GunShy joined Millenium on November 1, 2017.

Trivia

  • His biggest prize win was at Call of Duty XP but he nearly never made it, failing to qualify twice with Fnatic.
  • Up until EGL 11, GunShy had competed at every domestic EGL event, one of only 4 players (Mak, Tommey and ShAnE) to do so.
  • As well as competitive Call of Duty, GunShy has also briefly competed on Halo 3.
  • GunShy was voted the Greatest European Call of Duty Player of All-Time on Xbox 360 by Red Bull eSports!
  • He ended his career by being part of the first European team to compete in the USA on a full time basis, a historic achievement for European Call of Duty.
  • GunShy is often referred to as "Europe's Greatest of All-Time" and "The European Legend".
  • Gunshy spent most of his time at TCM Gaming with them from 2013 up until his retirement in 2015
  • Gunshy went on to do a lot of analyst work after announcing his retirement
